Inkblot Of The Day (Thursday)

Apparently there is a contender for our man Hermann!  The Holtzman Inkblot Test was "invented to correct many, if not all, of the controversial issues aroused by the Rorschach Inkblot Test." (Wikipedia)

Controversy?  Yes.  As a psychological testing tool, the Rorschach inkblots test is/was under fire for things like the objectivity of the person applying the test, and the exposure of the standard ten inkblots to the general public over the years, due to the images being public domain.
It's just hard to standardize, apparently.  US Courts have ruled that the test "does not have an objective scoring system." (Also from Wikipedia)

So this Holtzman chap apparently has a pool of several thousand inkblots to choose from, and after a cursory glance on Google Images, I can't really tell if I found any.  Chances are they are have a copyright anyway, and I suppose I don't want to muck up his work by "over-exposing" you to them before you actually need them.  (You know, when you all get tested for serious mental problems.)

Speaking of over-exposing mental problems, I wonder if Dan felt compelled to submit an interpretation because the inkblot was literally in his name:

"...something from Crimson Skies on the xbox :o"
Well, he's a good sport, for a duck owner.  Thanks for taking the time to send this in.

I made an inkblot with my name (*in* my name?) that same night, but I seem to have misplaced it.  This one is also from that night, the Night Of The Black Ink Remnants, which is going in my Personal Favorites:

  19. Artistically that's a very attractive blot. really looks like it could be considered abstract art.

I see a bug facing forward, and our perspective is from his front looking down. It's a 4 legged insect with sweet antennae and big eyes.
