Inkblot Of The Day (Wednesday)

It's a long one today, folks. If you are in Skim-For-Blot-Mode, just pop on down to the last picture and let your mind wander. Obviously let me know what you see. Otherwise, I went from 0 to 60 in the past twenty-four hours: new blot techniques (still seems like a weird thing to say), recorded Episode Nine last night, attempted to integrate a mental professional to the mix, skinned several furry animals, received a few submissions from previous blots, got some new programs to help facilite various aspects of this blog AND the game...

I'm already tired of typing.

From the mini-post yesterday about my scanner, it was questioned (due to my voice) where I was from. Other than my cheap little Jamaican accent in the beginning, I can't see why anyone would think I am not some guy who grew up white as white can be in white suburbia. Then again, this whole blog is about what people perceive, so who am I to think strangely about how other people think I sound?

So I saw a psychologist and he had professional reservations about being recorded while commenting on people's interpretations. He did seem genuinely interested, and might be able to hook me up with some books. If I can present things to him a little better, he might just let me record something. We'll see.

Got to make sure I acknowledge this submission from Dalek (Ligidium) for yesterday's blot.  He's a helping hand. He's done interpretation submissions, music (that's him in How To Make Another Inkblot) and generally makes me feel like I am doing everything wrong (I say this with general respect.)
Quite a few people saw a split brain. So did he. Now is as good a time as any to take your meds, you split-brain-seeing people!

The other night, or hour, or whatever time unit it was, I tried incorporating two quasi-suggestions: Get a 'before folding the paper' photo and "writing a name before folding." The trick here is, gloves or no gloves, don't get ink on your camera (or in this case, camera-phone):

TurkItUP for the suggestion
After the fold.  "Dan" makes a nice blot, yeah?
I probably should of just left it at that, but I wasn't feeling very minimal. I also seemed to have forgotten to take a "before" shot concerning the 4-blob border I added, but you can see where I got to writing the name more:

Blot 'em, Danno.
Which gives us our final result, which is actually at the bottom of the this post, because you need to see this massive rejection:

Not staged to look good for the photo, I swear.
...and someone (EDIT: It WAS Dan, that bastard!) mentioned that my Inkblot Box looked more like a Heroine Addict Box:

Err, I guess it does.
So, yeah...finally we get to the Blot Of The Day, which I totally flipped over (unheard of!) because when I walked around it, it looked like a human face to me. I shall call it "Angry Dan With Jewelry."

  3. I have been noticing blogs that start to enlarge font of certain words/phrases. Is this for an emphasis effect or is there a seo reason behind this?

  5. I actually really liked the blot right after the original fold. Looks like an insect of some sort worshipping at an altar. The blot of the day I see an obvious face. Like a bird that's upset about getting its hair did

  6. Nice idea with the Dan concept. That final inkblot looks like an angry sumo wrestler with pigtail buns in his hair.

  13. Yeah that's would be great if you can get an interview with a prof. Not only would it be an informative post but I think it would be very beneficial to your blogging, and you would be able to talk about so much more.
